Big Life UPDATE:

What’s going on?
Erik was injured while serving in the Army. He was medically retired on May 14th, 2019 with 11 1/2 years of service because of my leg injury and the status it has reached.   He has have now had more issues and over the last 2 years there has been a lot happen, so let me fill you in. Erik has been in and out of the hospital for the past 5 years. Now have had now a total of 17 blood clots in my lower left leg, 2 in my lungs, and one in my groin. Throughout this time Erik has been seen all over, had 1st, 2nd, 3rd, and 4th opinions. We have done everything to make things better from trying every blood thinner, doing every test, have a stent put in, etc.

Message from Erik:

Well now comes the final step. On October 12th at the Mayo Clinic I head down the road of lower leg amputation. This is crazy to think that in 2 weeks I will no longer have my leg and will have to learn to walk again. Life will forever be different. I am no longer having doubts, 2nd thoughts, but I am at peace. Still scared of the unknown but, I am ready to take “big steps” to come and praying and hoping that the few risks in this surgery don’t happen.

With my wife working 50 hours a week, in school full time, and taking care of a 2 and 5 year old. Meals being made, coffee gift cards for Starbucks would be great too. This would help my wife alleviate the stresses of cooking as well as getting fueled in the morning to take on the day. My wife is a trooper and I am so thankful for her.

I want to thank all my business partners and employees for being so supportive. I know that you will all hold things down for weeks to come even in my absence. I know you all know as soon as I can pick up a laptop and work I will be.

My prayer:
Dear Lord, I know that the mental, physical, and financial journey are going to be touch. I pray that you are with the doctors, my family, and those that are close to my heart. Please provide expert hands in this operation. I pray for the recovery and through the process that you push me to overcome any obstacles. I can do anything through Christ Jesus. Amen

I normally am a person that is reserved when posting on social media. I don’t like to post personal things, but I have something big coming up in my life that I just can’t keep away from people anymore and I need all the mental, physical, and maybe financial support.

Let me be the first to say I hate stuff like  this. I always my whole life have planned, life insurance, health, savings. But this is a time in my life where many things are going to change and be altered and now   Going through this list with friends, family, and doctors has made it to where I am now ok not good but ok to making something like this. Please know that my normal bills are being paid and will continue to without this, but after talking to many people there are many added expense that I was not thinking of. There will be a lot of extra stuff I have to think of now with my life physically and mentally changing.

What does a go fund me look like and what would I use it on.

*Medical bills that are stacking up that are not covered by insurance do to this procedure. As well as medical support devices needed.
*Fuel traveling back and fourth from The Mayo Clinic to Wyoming
*Lodging Expenses
*Babysitting
*Dog kenneling
*Home Cleaning
*Outdoor work
*Clothing/Footwear
*Food expenses
*Home modifications to get around
*Fall and winter removal

These are just a few of the many things.   that are becoming my reality in the past.   few days and weeks/years to come.

DO NOT feel like you need to give money, don’t give your last for me. I say that  humbly And want respect. If you can’t or don’t feel in your heart you can Send me a card, a message on Facebook, a meal delivered. Watch my crazy kids, etc. Those things cannot be measured by any amount of money.

Lastly I thank everyone now ahead of time for any type of help and support.

Love you all-

Erik, Zanetah, Ragnar, and Viviana                             Mossberg
