Erik's Unpaid Paycheck: Your Help Matters

Hello, my name’s Erik, and I work in customer support. Recently, I was employed as a support operator and had started the year with a plan in place to stay stable and budget-conscious while pursuing my career goals. Unfortunately, my position was eliminated at the start of the year, leaving me unexpectedly unemployed.

What’s made this situation even more difficult is that my former employer has not paid me for my final week of work, despite assurances that I would be compensated within a reasonable timeframe. I’ve reached out via email to resolve this, but I’ve received no response. Without this paycheck, my budget and stability have been completely derailed, and I’m left in a precarious position as I work to secure new employment. I have a few interviews lined up already, and am confident that without this lack of payment, I would be in a secure position right now.

I wouldn’t be making this GoFundMe if not for this wage theft issue. I’m filing a complaint with the Wage Board and pursuing every legal avenue available to recover what I’m owed.
