Erin and Jacob's Memorial Run, Walk, Bike

Erin would've been 48 years old on November 29, was an avid runner and beloved member of the local "She Runs This Town" group. She, her son Jacob, and two other beloved members of the Duluth community were killed the week of November 4, 2024.

To honor her and Jacob's memory, her running group is revisiting the route she took on her last group run. Erin organized that October 26th run at sunrise in hopes of enjoying some of the remaining fall colors.

In addition, we are hoping to raise funds to create scholarships for programs Erin and Jacob were passionate about: the Duluth Superior Symphony and Youth Orchestra, Marshall School's Nordic Ski Team, as well as Moms Demand Action. All funds received will be split equally among these organizations/programs and checks will be sent to each of the respective organizations.

Details for the Erin and Jacob Memorial Run/Walk/Bike

Where: Meet in the parking lot of the Lower Chalet of Spirit Mountain. Then, we'll run west out-and-back on the DWP.

What: Walk, run, or bike. She loved them all. She especially loved running with friends and biking with Jacob.

Pace: All paces welcome just as Erin would want it

Distance: Up to 4.8 miles to honor what would've been her 48th birthday. However, choose your own distance.

What to Bring: Any hydration or nutrition you may need as this is a self-supported and informal event.
