Erin Dowling Housing Security Fund

Hi, friends. This is Tennyson E. Stead, and I'm asking for some emergency financial relief on behalf of someone I only know from social media - and at the same time, it's someone who's dealing with a very real crisis.

This is Erin. She's a teacher from Texas, living in Illinois with a man who has slowlt and systematically separated her from any means of earning income or developing relationships in person. Erin is neurodivergent, and this man has been gaslighting her about her needs and capabilities. I know this because I was reading some exchanges on social media that concerned me, and I took some extra time to investigate.

Erin is ready to leave, she's prepared to abandon everything she owns but a handful of heirlooms, and this man is out of town for the next several days. Her gameplan for evacuating is something she's actively developing with an expert, who I know personally and who I trust implicitly. What Erin needs from us is cash, and I'm opening this GoFundMe to see if my community can help.

I'll understand if this isn't enough information for some people, and I'll understand if others doubt my judgment in asking for help on behalf of a stranger. This isn't something I was asked to do. I volunteered, because I think it needs doing. While I'm certainly willing to field questions, I don't want this GoFundMe to become a probe for information or a forum for advice. Her situation is overwhelming enough, and we've got someone handling the play-by-play who knows what she's doing. If we can pay to ship some boxes, and feed this lady for a few days, and help her bridge the gap between one day and the next, we'll be in better shape than we are right now.
