Erin Lew

I hope this message finds all of you well, and the health of you and your family will always be in good circumstance.

If you know and have been around Erin, you have had the privilege of being next to an angel who walks among us. Never has there been a moment (unless mashed potatoes were sitting in front of her) when Erin hasn't thought about and put forth her time, her love, her money, her heart and soul to comfort those around her. She contributes monthly to St Jude, Shriners and MS Society, and continues to support those in need constantly while praying for the peace and comfort of every living being she meets. She is truly a messenger of God's warmth, patience, understanding and empathy, which is why I'm reaching out to you now, as I pray for God's peace for my family.

Erin has recently been diagnosed with an incredibly rare genetic mutation called LAM (lymphangioleiomyomatosis). It is a crippling disorder that has attacked her body and filled her lungs with cystic tumors. We have been blessed to receive the continuous home oxygen she requires, and she successfully underwent a procedure at the end of February to embolize a very large tumor that had developed in her abdomen. However, this will be a long road for Erin, and will likely culminate in the need for a double-lung transplant. Treatment, medication, necessary travel, and loss of wages (as she is currently on leave from her job) have already cost Erin and her mother Charlene thousands of dollars outside of what insurance covers. We are a very spiritual family, and we will never turn away your prayers if you can keep Erin in them for as long as possible. If you can provide any financial assistance along with your prayers, to help not only with her medical bills but to also increase her chance at a better quality of life, no words will ever be able to describe our everlasting love and gratitude.
