Erin Marathakis and Family

Erin and I have been best friends for the last 25 years, and her family has always welcomed me in as one of them, something I am eternally grateful for, as they are endlessly supportive and loving of each other. In this last 6 months of Erin's brutal cancer treatments, that deep love and fierce advocacy has shone brightly.

This week we received the news that Erin's cancer has continued to spread, and is now in her brain. Her courage and determination have not waned, but she is needing and wanting time with her loved ones by her side more and more. We are faced with the ugly reality that travel and lodging is incredibly costly, especially when missing work. I have started this fund with the intention that her family use it for travel expenses to be able to support Erin and George, and that any additional funds will be used to support Erin and George in whatever they may need.

UPDATE: Erin is so so grateful and in awe of everyone’s love and generosity, people she has loved for years and people who love the people who love her have donated. This circle of love around her is giving her so much strength and comfort. Thank you all Please continue to share with your circles.
