Erin Post Surgery Support

Hi friends
My soul sister Erin recently tore her ACL while training to summit Mt. Rainier in August. Erin has worked in more physically demanding jobs with being in the service industry for the past many years! You may know if her as your ex favorite barista at Westbay or your favorite local server at El Chupacabra. Erin is passionate about nature, spirituality, growth, connection and healing. Erin was my roommate for a couple of years and no words will ever suffice for how much of a loving support system she created for me in our shared space.
With just recently getting knee surgery, I can’t imagine how I would have kept up with my bills without the L&I support (which covered my rent) along with the financial support of my family and friends.
Erin hasn’t received any financial support while she has applied for FMLA along with financial care for her ACL surgery itself. She has been consistently following up and hasn’t heard anything back yet.
She needs a little bit of a cushion to cover the next couple of months worth of rent and some extra money to spend on groceries and other bills while she is in this in-between place of recovery and being unable to work and generate any income for herself. Even if she gets approved for FMLA or the other services she applied for, they will only cover a fraction of Erin’s total costs for the next couple of months. Erin has been one of the best support systems and friends I can ask for, and I’m hoping that a community of strangers and friends alike will extend some love (if possible, of course). It takes a village. Thank you for reading! Xo
