Erin's Medical and Essential Living Expenses

Hi, my name is Erin, and I was very recently made aware of my incredibly low kidney function, which has escalated in only a month’s time to stage four kidney disease. My nephrologist has estimated that I am anywhere from weeks to months away from renal failure. As a full-time student who simultaneously worked full time, my entire world has changed. In addition to being in immense pain and discomfort from my condition, my workplace is high traffic, and COVID-19 outbreaks are common. As a result of my illness, I have taken a leave of absence from work to focus on my health during these trying times. Despite meeting the criteria for unemployment benefits, I have been repeatedly denied. Although I have begun filing for disability, this process is significantly long, and approval could take months. I am on a hefty amount of medication considering my diagnosis and am in dire need of assistance for prescriptions and essential living expenses.
