Ernest "Bear" White - Medical Expenses

We come to you with heavy hearts but hopeful spirits to share the story of Ernest White, a cherished member of our Woodrun Place family. Ernest became part of our tight-knit community last June when he joined our maintenance team. Throughout this season, Ernest went above and beyond, tirelessly contributing to our team's success. He never hesitated to take on the graveyard shift for firewatch or lend a helping hand wherever it was needed. Beyond his duties, Ernest's passion for cooking filled our kitchen with delightful aromas, brightening even the toughest of days.

Tragically, at the end of March, Ernest experienced a fall outside of work, resulting in severe injuries to his spine. Emergency surgery was necessary, and while it was successful, Ernest faces a long and challenging road to recovery ahead.

In order to be closer to his family during this difficult time, Ernest will be returning to his home in Virginia. While his surgery was a crucial step forward, the financial burden of his medical expenses looms large. Despite insurance coverage, the out-of-pocket costs, including deductibles and co-pays, have quickly added up.

As the Woodrun Place family, we are rallying around Ernest in his time of need. We believe that by coming together, we can help alleviate some of the financial strain on Ernest as he focuses on healing and rebuilding his strength. Your generosity will directly contribute to covering his out-of-pocket maximum for the year, easing the burden and allowing Ernest to concentrate on his recovery journey without the added stress of financial worry.
