In Loving Memory of Zara

Zara was a beautiful, loving and caring 18 year old

She was struggling with glioblastoma, an aggressive form of brain cancer that was slowly overtaking her body.

It was truly heartbreaking to see and we knew the inevitable would happen.

During her last few weeks of life, she stayed at Martins House Children’s Hospice. They are a charity that help children and their families during these times of immense need.

They were a saving grace during the most challenging time that Zara and the family faced. The support and love they provided eased the stormy waters and eased Zara’s journey to her ultimate destination back to our creator. They truly were nothing short of incredible.

We are raising funds to help this charity so that they can continue with their amazing work. Zara was considerate and kind to everyone she met and she would want nothing more than to give back something to this remarkable charity.

More information about Martin House: Martin House provides care and support for children and young people with life-limiting illnesses, and their families. Our services are provided free of charge to families across West, North and East Yorkshire, and include respite care, symptom control, community care, end of life care and bereavement support. We also provide bereavement support to families whose child died from a life-limiting illness but did not have the opportunity to use the hospice.
