ERRIGAL CIARAN 5K Million Step Challenge
Donation protected
Errigal Ciaran have decided to undertake fundraising on behalf of two worthy charities, namely ALPS and Heart Children Ireland, who support Milly Byrne.
Heart Children Ireland has supported Milly and her family from the beginning, so, we are raising funds for the Blue Ribbon fund proudly managed by Heart Children Ireland. This fund supports families on their transplant journey with their child. All funds raised will go directly to Heart Children Ireland’s Blue Ribbon Fund which is a lifeline for families on this very difficult journey.
Milly Byrne — a huge Monaghan and Magheracloone fan — fell seriously ill in early March, suffering heart failure. Within hours, she was transferred from Drogheda Hospital to Crumlin Children’s Hospital.
On St Patrick’s Day, Milly was brought to Newcastle’s Freeman Hospital. There, she underwent further tests and was diagnosed with a condition called Dilated Cardiomyopathy; a disease of the heart muscle. Milly is now awaiting a heart transplant.
ALPS:
All Lives Are Precious is a community based Mental Health initiative established to help you. We offer support and services on emotional wellbeing, mental health education & suicide prevention. Registered as a limited company by guarantee with charitable purposes in 2017. As an organisation we rely entirely on volunteers, and financial assistance from the private and public sector, as well as help from members of the public. We constantly strive to provide much needed education and pastoral care to individuals, groups, schools, teenagers, families and the wider community.
