Michael Paden Cancer Fund

In February of 2014 Michael began to experience some uncomfortable pain in his side. Some initial tests were performed, but they came back normal. As time passed, the pain grew worse and Michael went back for a CT scan in September and was diagnosed with cancer (Metastatic Mucinous Adenocarcinoma of the appendix). His abdomen was filled with a cancerous mucous that has the capability to affect other organs within that area. Michael continued to have additional tests to specify the areas in the colon that may be affected, as well as an additional CT scan which showed some enlargement of lymph nodes in his chest. At this time, surgery has been scheduled for Monday September 29th. However, before surgery can take place, a PET Scan has been ordered for Tuesday September 23rd to determine if the cancer has metastasized to his lymph nodes. If it is revealed that the cancer has indeed spread to the lymph system, he will no longer be a candidate for surgery, which is the preferred treatment. If the lymph nodes are enlarged because of other reasons, the surgery will move forward as scheduled. Please pray that the treatment of this cancer moves forward in a positive manner and Michael will make a full recovery.

Michael graduated from Park Hill High School in 1991. In August of 1994, he married his beautiful better half, Jodi, with whom he just celebrated their 20th year anniversary. Michael is a devoted father to two beautiful children Joshua 16, and Taylor 15. Michael has been involved in church worship since 1993. He is a gifted musician and vocalist, and has a passion for winning others to Christ.

As you are probably aware, the medical costs for treating cancer can be very expensive and Michael's case is no different.  This being said, anything you can donate would be most appreciated.
