#Ava Strong
Late in the evening of December 20, 2019, we received a call that our sweet Ava was being rushed to CMC Hospital via ambulance after becoming unresponsive at home. Once at Geisinger CMC, the Healthcare team made the decision to life flight Ava to CHOP after finding a large mass on her brain. Immediately upon arrival at CHOP, Ava underwent an emergency craniotomy followed by tissue sampling leading to the diagnosis of a Grade 4 Glioblastoma. Ava, who has proven to be a fighter, received over 2 years of chemo and radiationtreatments after being diagnosed at the age of 8 with T-Cell Lymphoblastic lymphoma. The unfortunate truth is that the cranial radiation she received then to save her life is the causing force of her current diagnosis.
We want to thank each and every one of you for reaching out to us and for your continued prayers… the power of prayer is a miracle which is witnessed time and time again. So many of you have asked what you can do to support us through this time and what we truly need is financial support for Eddie to remain bedside with Ava throughout her care at CHOP. We will be having local events and benefits to support Ava and her family but in the meantime this GoFundMe page is a place for you to donate directly to Eddie so he can remain by her side as the calm, grounding, and solid rock of support he has been for Ava. We all want what is best for her, and at this time what she needs is to have family by her side. Please consider donating to this cause… Please consider sharing this link with your friends and family… and please know that we thank you from the bottoms of our hearts!
