Emergency funds for my family

Hello,

I am Hung Le. I am making this gofundme in hopes to maybe raise any amount of money from generous donators to ensure my family has extra funds for any unforeseen expenses and to make sure we have a roof over our heads in the coming months and new year.

On 12/30/2023, around 3am, an SUV rammed through our fence, a palm tree and finally through our entire living room and parts of one bedroom and bathroom. Luckily no one was injured and no one was in the living room when it happened. the driver and 3 passengers fled the scene shortly after leaving their suv in the middle of our house. We are hoping these individual will be brought to justice and we can get some closure.

We have reached out with our home insurance and are currently being taken care of housing wise but there are no guarantees it will stay this way for as long as we need it. We tentatively have a hotel reservation for 7 days even though repairs are estimated to take months.

Estimators have already given me a timeline of at least 3-6 months to repair and get us all back into our home.

If you are able to donate anything to help make sure my family doesn’t have to worry financially in the coming months, we would appreciate it with all of our hearts. We hope everyone has a happy new year.

My mother, Mua Dao, who bought this house roughly 20 years ago sees this as her home that she has worked her entire life for. She moved here roughly 30 years ago from Vietnam and has worked her way up through pure determination and grit to have what she has today. As her son, I’ve seen her put in all the hours at work whether it be night shifts or overtime at a factory-type job her whole life. Not only has she worked tirelessly her whole life to make she her kids had a roof over their heads and a chance to go to school, she is also an amazing mother who faced many hardships raising 3 boys and 1 daughter. She recently got her citizenship in fact and is enjoying her life in America even through all the hardships she has faced.

I make this GoFundMe in the hopes I can at least help her in any way I can to repay her for everything she has done for me and my other siblings.
