Help us make a Short Film about Coercive Control

Donation protected
UPDATE: We have now filmed 'Escape' and need to reach our remaining target to cover POST-PRODUCTION costs. Thank you for your generous donations so far. We are half way there.
This film is being made to raise awareness on Coercive Control, a form of domestic abuse that became illegal in 2015. Here are some signs of coercive control that are explored in the film:

-Controlling a person's finances.
-Isolating a person from friends and family.
-Controlling their partner using their pet.
-Belittling and humiliating a person.
-Controlling who you are allowed to see or spend time with.
-Making you feel fearful or scared of non-compliance.
Money raised will go towards entering this film into various 2025 film festivals, travel expenses, catering costs, insurance of equipment, hard drives to store footage and editing the film.

I am now happily married with a daughter of my own. Becoming a mum has made me more determined than ever to ensure no young person falls victim to a controlling, abusive partner. As a survivor of coercive control I used to think of bruises when I heard the words 'domestic abuse'. I had no idea domestic abuse can be financial, emotional or psychological abuse. For this reason I have gathered a fantastic team of creatives, actors and film makers together to make this film possible.
