A Father's Desperate Journey to Save His Family

I write to you today with a heart heavy with desperation and a plea born of necessity. My name is Ehab, and alongside my cherished wife, daughter, and son, I am entrenched in the turmoil of a war-torn region. The past months have been a relentless onslaught on our once-tranquil lives, leaving behind shattered remnants of our existence.

Forced to flee our home in search of sanctuary, we now find ourselves in an unforgiving landscape, devoid of even the most necessities. The absence of nutritious food, clean water, and essential medical supplies for our vulnerable children paints a bleak picture of our daily struggle. Each day, we confront the harsh reality of survival, burdened by the anguish of witnessing our family's suffering.

Now, we stand at a crossroads, faced with a decision of unimaginable weight: to abandon all that we hold dear in pursuit of safety and a glimmer of hope for our children's future. Yet, the path to escape our war-ravaged homeland is strewn with insurmountable obstacles, compounded by the suspension of my livelihood due to the lack of internet access. The weight of financial strain bears down upon us, with time slipping through our grasp like sand through clenched fists.

Funds will facilitate our travel through the Rafah border crossing to Egypt, incurring the following expenses:

• Adults (husband and wife): $5,000 USD each ($10,000 USD total)

• Children (4-year-old girl and 1.5-year-old son): $2,500 USD each ($5,000 USD total)

Additionally, we need funds for passports:

• Husband's passport: $0 (already obtained)

• Wife's passport: $140 USD

• Daughter's passport: $140 USD

• Son's passport: $140 USD

• Total for passports: $430 USD

After traveling, we anticipate additional expenses:

• Transportation costs: $1,000 USD

• Rent for a house in Egypt: $500 per month for 6 months ($3,000 USD) to 12 months ($6,000 USD)

• Commission costs for sending money to our current location: Estimated range from $500 to $900 USD

Total Required Amount (including GoFundMe's site commission and additional commission costs): $22,000 USD (excluding additional commission costs), plus $500 to $900 USD for commission costs for sending money to our current location.
