Escaping an Abusive Household and Moving In With A Friend
Donation protected
I'm currently living in an abusive household with my parents and am currently incapable of acquiring the funds to leave due to extremely high levels of stress and anxiety brought upon by these living conditions. It's affected my health and exacerbated my unmedicated depression. I fear that I may never leave this situation and will likely perish if I'm unable to leave in a timely manner.
I've tried my best to find the funds on my own over the last 6 years but to no success, and begging for help is the last thing I would normally do, but I just had an episode with my folks that has elevated tensions and I honestly don't even feel safe anymore. I have a friend that will room with me in Washington State, but unfortunately, I currently live in North Carolina and moving so far across the country is a tall order in addition to the money needed to make a joint deposit for an apartment and pay rent.
The money is for either a rental vehicle, a U-Haul, and/or a plane ticket depending on whatever method is most economical, and the deposit and rent for the apartment. If I fall short of what I need, I can take work forward from my freelance job and have a work queue debt (although this would be a long struggle to fulfill and be stressful in and of itself and I would prefer to avoid this). My cat (pictured) also complicates things and doesn't make moving easy.
I'm at my wits' end and I don't know if I can survive the way I am right now, so I greatly appreciate any help.
