On the morning of January 26, 2025, John Wright passed away peacefully in his sleep from stage 5 kidney failure. 

John was a brilliant actor and artist. This is a fundraiser to help support his wife Marianne Copithorne with costs related to his passing, including funeral costs, life expenses and time to grieve.

Please share this fundraiser as many times as you can. John’s reach was far and wide, and we want to make sure as many people as possible have the opportunity to send condolences and support. 

John brought so much passion to the theatre and inspired generations with his inimitable talents. 

John was from a family of theatre artists who changed the face of Canadian Theatre. His accomplishments are legendary and he will be sorely missed and remembered with love.
