Escobedo Project

 

Hello, I’m Oscar Escobedo and I am a medically retired Navy Airman who was badly injured during a drug smuggling interdiction on the US/Mexico border.

 

The VA delayed my care and I ended up in a wheelchair. The despair and hopelessness that was felt because of the inadequacies of the VA caused me to attempt to take my life.

 

I was fortunate to be given a 2nd chance and I’m using this opportunity to never let a veteran go through what I did. I need your help setting up a non-profit The Veteran Homeless Mitigation Program, sponsored by Arizona Fair Housing Center Mesa (https://www.azfhc.org/).

Our mission is to help those getting out of the military to transition back into civilian life. Help me welcome our War fighters home.
