Escott's Kicking Cancer Fund

My name is Erica Michelle Scott. I am a single mom of one beautiful 13 year-old girl, Aaliyah Scott-Sexton. On June 9th, 2015 my world and my child's world changed forever. I am 32 years-old, and was diagnosed with ductual carcinoma breast cancer. I am gainfully employed as an Educational Specialist with the North Alabama Center for Educational Excellence, a federally funded non-profit organization that helps low income, first generation students prepare to go to some type of post-secondary education. I will be starting chemotherapy July 10th, 2015. I will have 4 months of chemotherapy and then I will have a bilateral mastectomy and reconstruction surgery and will undergo radiation as well as other medications in my battle to fight breast cancer.
I will most certainly continue to work helping others purse their dreams, and will now have an additional goal to help other facing the same disease that I am now. Any help that anyone could give me would not be in vain. I will be extremely grateful, blessed and my child will too. I also will welcome and appreciate your prayers.
