Esha and Jimmy Przybyla

As most of you know, Esha (Jimmy's wife) suffered from a massive stroke on Saturday, November 12th. We were celebrating Connor's 2nd birthday at Dave's house and had a wonderful evening with family. That night around 10pm is when we received the tragic call that Esha was admitted into the ICU at Silver Cross Hospital in New Lenox. She has now been in the ICU for 25 days. She was on a ventilator for 22 days and heavily sedated. They inserted a temporary drain in her head to drain the fluid around her brain and alleviate the pressure and swelling. Since her body has been through so much trauma, they did install a temporary trach, where they could attach the breathing tube to help assist her with her breathing. Here we are 25 days in and there's not a whole lot to report because the first steps are keeping her sedated and comfortable in order for her body to heal. Esha suffers from high blood pressure, so they are just trying to keep all her numbers down. We have experienced good days and also bad days. She has been able to follow commands such as squeezing a finger, following you with her eyes or wiggling her toes. They have since lowered her sedation and lessened her IV's. We are staying positive and hopeful that Esha's body will stay strong through this journey and God will heal her.

Esha has a long road ahead of her, but we are keeping our faith and are hopeful.
