Esme's Malaysia 2024 Volunteer Trip

Hi, My name is Esme, I am 17 years old and I am a member of Girlguiding UK. In July 2023, I was selected as one of 16 young members to represent my region of South West England in a volunteer trip to Malaysia in 2024.

The aim of the trip is to help conserve the marine wildlife on the coast of Malaysia, assisting Sea Turtles with the hatching and protection of their eggs, keeping the surrounding beaches clean, and helping their natural habitat to thrive independently in the future.

Along with this, the trip will also aid my personal growth, allowing me to develop as a young person, and learn essential life skills during my final summer before university.

During this trip I will also get the opportunity to meet members of Girl Guides of Malaysia, and spend time with my Girlguiding sisters.

Any donations or sponsorships will be greatly appreciated, and will go directly to the cost of the trip, including accommodation, food, travel, necessary kit and uniform, and would also allow you to directly support the World Association of Girl Guides and Girl Scouts.
