Support covering surgery costs for Kobe

Donation protected
Our dog Kobe is a huge part of our family. The moment we walk in the door his happiness brings us joy as he wags his tail in excitement just to see us come home. These last few weeks have been very painful. As of today (12/15) Kobe is having emergency surgery to remove a foreign object stuck in his esophagus. After 2 weeks of constant visits to the vet to find out why our dog was not eating and constantly vomiting we finally got the diagnosis that there was something lodged in his esophagus. We thought back to the day the symptoms started and realized that on Thanksgiving night he must have ate something that he has not been able to digest. It took 3 different animal hospitals to uncover what was wrong. The first procedure attempted last night (12/14) was to remove the object with a scope endoscopy which was an operation that has already brought our costs to about $5000 including the fees paid at the vets prior. The procedure was unsuccessful. We are now faced with performing a very complicated surgery estimated to cost up to $13000 to surgically cut into his esophagus and remove the object. It is a high risk procedure with no guarantee of success or survival. The other option would be to put our dog down which would be devastating to our family. The timing of this terrible news and unexpected cost during the holidays has placed a financial burden on us. Any contributions would be greatly appreciated. We hope our Kobe can be part of our family’s Christmas as he has been the last 10 years. Thank you all for your prayers and consideration.
