Hunter's Kidney Transplant and Medical Expenses

Hello! This is my son, Dakota Hunter Johnson and he was born with failing kidneys. He just received his kidney transplant on 8/7/24 - 17 months and 3 days after his diagnosis! His new kidney came from a deceased donor and we are so grateful for this gift of life. While we do have insurance coverage, there's plenty that is not covered by Humana Medicare and SSI Medicaid. We get to send all the home hemodialysis equipment back, so that in itself is a blessing! This is a very expensive process and all proceeds go to paying off medical bills.
