Essential Aid for LA Fire Victims

As many of you know, Ari, Liam, and I moved to my hometown of Tulsa from Los Angeles just over 4 years ago. We spent 17 years in LA, and in many ways it still feels like home to us.

Over the past few days, fires have ravaged communities in Pasadena, Altadena, Pacific Palisades, and beyond. I am in constant communication with our community there, and I am hearing heartbreaking stories of people evacuating and having to leave everything behind while their homes burn to the ground. These families are in immediate need of basic essentials.

I am working with my amazing friends Alice Cannington and Maylin Dahlin of The Agency Los Angeles @aliceandmaylin @theagency to get essentials to people most affected by these fires. Through their network at the Agency, Alice and Maylin are in direct contact with people who have already lost their homes, and those who have evacuated leaving behind all of their belongings. Information is coming fast, and evacuations happen without much notice.

I chose to start a GoFundMe over donating directly to organizations, other than the Los Angeles Fire Department to aid essential workers, to ensure that ALL of the money goes directly to providing essentials to people in need. Items that will be purchased are toiletries/hygiene products, clothing, baby supplies (diapers, wipes, formula), children's toys, school supplies, books, small electronics, home goods and pet supplies.

Thank you to this incredible Tulsa community for helping bring a little hope to those who have lost everything.
