This year we have had a burglary where all our memorabilia was stolen, including our original banners from 1918. We have also had to replace all our gas pipes and now a new flat roof. This has been a massive financial burden which we are struggling to pay. Our hall is a busy community hall used by many other social groups of all kinds. There is hardly any other public space available for hire in our town and we really want to keep it open for all children, women and men who use it on a weekly basis.
