Hello Everyone! I've created this to provide support for my Dad while he's in the hospital. Right now, I'm just needing help to pay his rent, I'm sure his hospital bills are going to be astronomical so anything that surpasses what is needed to cover his rent will be applied to hospital bills. January 1st my dad went to Community North with severe abdominal pain, only to be admitted to emergency surgery hours later. His colon had ruptured due to bacteria in his colon and Dr. Bloom and many others saved his life by performing this surgery as quickly as they could. He's now been in the hospital for 2 weeks and we've experienced many ups and downs due to his immune system being as weak as it is. His heart went into Afib, and they had to shock him to a normal rate; which took well. The doctors weren't pleased with the lack of his body fighing to heal. His lungs went into ARDS and he had to be temporarily paralyzed from the waist up so they could take total control of his breathing. The past few days we've been making small strides. He is currently off paralysis, but still on a ventilator and sedated. His blood pressure, sugars and kidneys seem to be responding well currently and he is on the road to healing. We just don't know how long this process is going to take. It could be a month or two more with physical therapy in his future. Any and all help is greatly appreciated!
