Helping Ally

My little cousin Allyson, daughter of Nathan Herrera over the last 2 weeks has been in and out of the hospital. She was having stomach issues, her stomach was very swollen and hard to the touch and she was in alot of pain. At first it was believed to just be a large mass in her abdomen but after further evaluation it was found out to be attached to her ovary and believed to be a non-cancerous tumor but would not be sure until surgery and biopsy of the tumor. She was then med evac'd to Seattle children hospital where they were able to remove the tumor completely and then it was sent off to labs to be tested. After a few days ally was then sent home and the next day we found out that it was cancerous and a vary rare cancer that doesnt have much research. We later found out that most kids with this rare cancer don't live past the age of 5. Seattle Children's Hospital said they have only had 1 case in the past 10 years for this cancer. As much as we hate asking for help, we do not have the money that we need for all of the expenses that have and will continue to accrue for flights and other expenses that are and will be coming for the foreseeable future. Ally has to be at Johns Hopkins within the next week to start her treatments. Medical bills we think are taken care of except for some medications that we've already started paying for. We and our family have already spent $4,500 alone on flights. We were unable to pay any of our bills yet this month because of the amount of money we spent on flights, food, and clothes for ally. Having to be emergency evac'd to Seattle, Ally and Mariah were unable to prepare and get clothes and such together, so they needed to buy clothes and food while there.Ally has always been a very happy, loving, sharing little girl who still to this day checks on mommy and daddy to make sure we are okay. And continously said that shes happy her brothers, mommy and daddy werent sick like she was, even when she was the one in pain she was thinking of the well being of her family. All she cared about was going home to see and play with her little brothers. She has been in the hospital drawing pictures and making bracelets for everyone so that they are not sad. She Is so full of life and positive energy that everyone that encounters her can't help but smile and love being around her because all she does is care for everyone around her no matter who it is. All of her nurses at Seattle hospital couldnt stop complementing how sweet and friendly she was even when dealing with her pain.Every dollar will without a doubt be used on our daughter and only her, weather its medical that may not be covered, food, clothes, travel to the next hospital, anything it is all for her. And if there is any money left over after this is all over the rest will be donated back to cancer research to hopefully help find out more about this very rare cancer. We will not be keeping the money. Ally is doing well and is really striving, you wouldn't even know she was sick. She still doesnt know whats going on, we are waiting to be surrounded by our families to talk to her about having to start these treatments and what's going on with her. A conversation we are not ready to have with our 6 year old.Any and all help is greatly appreciated from our family.
