Please help get Jemma to Cincinnati Childrens

To know Jemma is to love Jemma. Jemma Jo Banta is the toughest and bravest little girl I have ever had the privilege of knowing. For those of you that don’t know her, let me give you a little background. Jemma was born on March 17, 2022 and at 3 weeks old she gave her parents their first scare when she turned blue and her owlet monitor went off twice. This was the first sign something was wrong and it has been a long, tough road since. Jemma is a medically complex little girl, she has tracheomalacia, laryngomalacia, microdeletion on 15q11.2 (burnside butler syndrome), severe hypotonia, epilepsy, dystonia, dyskinesia, severe dysphasia and is g-tube fed. She has had 7 rounds of aspiration pneumonia, 14 upper respiratory infections and countless hospital stays just in her first year of life. But you would never know all of this when you meet her. She is the happiest, sweetest little girl. Her smile could light up a Christmas tree. She has had so many scary moments in her first year of life and the fact that she is still here truly is a miracle from God. Despite seeing 10 specialists here they are stumped on what is the best path for Jemma so she can have the best possible life. She has already defied odds just by being here and she is now crawling, pulling herself up and saying a few words. Her doctors here were able to get her in with an aerodigestive team at Cincinnati Childrens Hospital to develop a plan for her moving forward. As you can imagine, having a medically complex child is beyond expensive and now Amanda and Ethan are needing to come up with the funds to travel to Cincinnati and stay there while she is seeing all of the doctors on their team. So, I am asking two things of you. First of all, please include Jemma and her family in your prayers. Secondly, if you are able to, could you donate so this is one less thing that Amanda and Ethan have to worry about and they can go get some much needed answers and advice.
