Funds for Ethan Bowker and his family during this hard time

Hello, my name is Savannah. I’m making this GoFundMe for my brother-in-law and his family. Ethan is currently hospitalized in Flint, MI. He had gotten all 4 of his wisdom teeth removed last week Friday and started to experience pain in his jaw. His jaw started to swell, he couldn’t really talk, eat, and he felt like his throat was closing. His wife took him to the ER in Alma, and he waited in the waiting room for 1 1/2 hours. His symptoms were getting worse, and he started to feel like he was having chest pain. They waited for another 2 hours until they were called back. They ran labs, put him on an IV medication to help with the pain, and ordered a CT. There was an abscess found, and that’s all they were told. Less than an hour later, a nurse came in and stated they were getting transferred to a new hospital. When Ethan arrived at the new hospital, they had to intubate him due to the swelling of his throat from the abscess. He then gained a fever of 104 and had to be closely monitored and sedated. He is still currently sedated, and they are watching his temperature before they decide whether to take him to surgery for his abscess. They are unsure of how long he will be hospitalized.

His wife, mother, and children are currently in a hotel due to them living hours away from the hospital. Ethan is the sole income in the household and will be off of work for a while.
