Ethan Griffin's Eagle Scout Project-Hardin Valley
Donation protected
Ethan Griffin, our nephew and a senior at Hardin Valley Academy in Knoxville, Tennessee, is working hard on completing his Eagle Scout project and could use your help making it happen. Ethan is using his leadership skills and artistic talents to beautify his community by creating an inspiring mural (the rendering is pictured above), benefitting both the local volunteer fire department and his community.
The project will directly benefit the Karns Fire Department (Station 2).
In Ethan's words: "We want to refurbish an old eyesore in the spirit of community and turn it into something wonderful that the whole community can get behind. The Hardin Valley community of Knoxville, Tennessee, is home to fantastic countryside, friendly people, and a flourishing community. Due to the tremendous growth we’ve seen over the last 10 years, our Karns Volunteer Fire Department needed to move to a larger space more adequate for the size of the community. Their old building, Station 2, is now used purely for storage and has seen some wear and tear, especially on the, approximately, 50x1- foot exterior wall facing Hardin Valley Academy. Our plan is to take this wall as a blank canvas, perfectly angled facing Hardin Valley road, and paint a mural commemorative to our community."
All donations provided will go toward the paint, supplies, and tools necessary to accomplish this project. Any excess funds gathered will be donated directly to the Karns Volunteer Fire Department.
Thank you for supporting Ethan's Eagle Scout project, helping promote public art and helping the Karns Volunteer Fire Department. Your contribution of any size is greatly appreciated!
