Ethan has chronic myeloid leukemia

At 41 years old, having been a teacher in Ohio for 20 years, a husband for
12 years, and father of six-year-old IVF miracle twins, I had way too many responsibilities for my life to be drawing to an end because of a leukemia diagnosis.
Thankfully, there is a daily chemo medication I take that prevents my leukemia from moving to the acute (blast) phase that would allow the disease to progress and be terminal.
The bad news is, even with medical insurance (yes, I still teach full-time with leukemia) – the medicine is incredibly expensive.
The pharmacy charge EACH MONTH is between $14,000-$16,000. Even with decent insurance coverage the cost is still several thousand dollars per month and we are reaching out to ask for help. This page has helped us cover some of that cost, along with all the other medical expenses that inevitably creep up when you have cancer.
