Ethan is getting top surgery!

Five years ago, in the spring of 2017, a pre-transition Ethan mused to a woman-identifying friend, "Man, don't you just hate being a woman?"
To which his friend responded, "Um, no?"
This very brief exchange sent our young friend on a very long, perplexing, at times ridiculous, and ultimately life-changing journey. Ethan began his social transition in October 2019, and his medical transition in December 2020. After years of wondering and waiting, he finally received news that he is scheduled for top surgery on May 16th!
While he is privileged with good health insurance, Ethan has shouldered considerable transition-related expenses, particularly mental healthcare, over the past few years. It has become very apparent that top surgery is not something he can afford on his own without draining his savings, so he is asking his loved ones for support. Any money donated will be used to cover the procedure, pre- and post-op care, and any expenses incurred during the recovery process. Any money that he does not use to cover these expenses will be donated to The Okra Project and For the Gworls, which both support the health and wellbeing of Black trans folx.
Times are hard for everyone right now, and so if you are not in a situation where you can contribute financially, but you still want to help, Ethan LOVES letters! You can send him your best limericks, musings, photos of your cat, or grandma's favorite recipes to:

Thanks again for your love and care!
