Ethan's Therapy Dog
Donation protected
Ethan is a young man who has suffered serious medical issues for most of his life. Ethan was born with Cerebal Palsy and later diagnosed at the age of nine with CML Leukemia ( a rare geriatric form of leukemia) and suffers from severe anxiety and depression. Due to his condition, he has attended school online and has lost his network of friends. The cancer treatment as well as other medical issues prevent him from living a normal life. His medical team of therapists have said a therapy dog would greatly improve his quality of life and allow him to have a companion with him as he continues to navigate the treatments and the ups and downs that treatments trigger.
Ethan has always wanted a dog that he would care for. His Mom has even said that it would give him not only so much joy, but it would give him a purpose. As Ethan turns 16 on April 11th this year, his Mom is doing her best to fulfill that request and start with getting him a dog that won't compromise his health and hopefully down the road will become his therapy companion. Having a therapy dog not only for Ethan but one where he could take with him when he visits other kids in the hospital would bring him such happiness!!! The cost to obtain his new dog and the ongoing cost of care are unfortunately not easy for him and his family. The ongoing costs of medical care are tough as it is. If you feel you could help out in any way, small or big or share this post it would mean the world to Ethan! Please continue to keep Ethan in your prayers.
