Ethan Patterson,husband,father and friend
Donation protected
On Saturday, August 20, 2022, which was to be one of the happiest days of his life, Ethan woke up and was unable to feel his legs or walk without assistance. He spent most of his wedding day in a wheelchair and could only stand and say his vows using a walker.
He went to bed that night, woke up and went directly to the local hospital.
The hospital did an MRI and told him he needed emergency back surgery. So what was to be a 2-hour surgery turned into 7 hours.
So, he is now in a hospital bed after major surgery.
He needs to feed and shelter his family and, at the same time, be in a rehabilitation program with no prognosis and no time period as to how long or even if he will recover.
He has no idea if or how much of his medical bills will be covered.
This whole ordeal has been such a whirlwind no one has had time to think about what has happened, and now it is just starting to set in. He is a husband and father to three young children. His family still needs a roof over their heads and food to eat. On Friday, August 26th, he received his last paycheck with little to no savings,
Before this incident, he could provide for his family quite well. He was an athlete and a very hard worker. Now he has no feeling below his waist; the doctors are unsure if he ever will. He could be confined to a wheelchair for the rest of his life, walk with braces, or even use a walker.
The funds will help pay unpaid medical bills, help his family pay their bills, and buy school supplies for two of their children.
We (his family and friends) are asking for any contribution to help his family through this trying time. Anything is appreciated. We are also asking for your prayers and good thoughts that he will have total healing so that he can eventually return to work and once again provide for his family (which is what he wants more than anything)
