Prayers For Ethan

Below is the story about how the family learned  little Ethan has Leukemia as written by his momma:

Our journey started on Sunday night while we were away on a family camping trip. Sunday morning we had a happy, energetic, crazy-as-ever 2 year old running around on the beach and playing in the water. By Sunday night he was complaining that his foot hurt and he didn't want to walk. By Monday morning he was walking again but with a slight limp, so we assumed he must have strained it a little bit on one of his many 2 year old stumbling episodes. On top of the sore foot he also developed a fever and a cough. By Tuesday Ethan started refusing to walk or put any weight on his legs. We took Ethan in to the doctor on Wednesday afternoon where they did x-rays and thought there was a possible bone fracture but wanted us to wait and see the podiatrist for a second opinion. The doctor kind of dismissed the fever and the cough thinking it was a separate issue and would get better after a few days. That night we started to notice blood in his urine, a bloody lip, random nose bleeds, and my mother's instincts new there was something wrong. The doctor finally did some blood tests on Thursday afternoon and by 3:00 am on Friday morning we received the call that we needed to go to the ER right away.

The Lord has blessed Ethan with the love of an amazing and unconditional support system, his parents Will and Samantha, his older brother (5) William, grandparents, aunts and uncles and cousins, friends and church family and many more. Over the next 30 days or more Ethan will more than likely be in the hospital. Once he starts his treatments this journey will not end. Ethan and his parents will be tasked with multiple doctor appointments requiring extensive driving, time away from work and meals away from home. As the way the world turns so it requires financial stability. It would be an amazing blessing and true gift of love to offer one less worry in this beautiful family's lives during this struggle.

Jeremiah 29:11 For I know the plans I have for you, declares the LORD, plans for welfare and not for evil, to give you a future and a hope.

A sincere and heartfelt thank you for your prayers, love, and words of encouragement they mean the world to the family.
