Ethan’s Car Accident Hospital Expenses

Hi everyone. I am fundraising for my family member, Ethan.
On the evening of 12/30/22, Ethan was in a severe car accident when a deer ran out in front of him and he was attempting to avoid hitting it.
He swerved and his truck went into a 5 foot ditch impacting a cement culvert at 50mph, smashing the front end into the cab, flipping from front to back and catching on fire after landing. He was lucky that the impact didn’t knock him unconscious for too long, otherwise he would not have survived. He was able to exit the truck before it caught on fire.
Though we are beyond grateful that he is alive, unfortunately, he has now sustained multiple injuries including, a shattered knee, 4 fractured vertebrae, shattered toes, and is still being assessed in the Trauma Center. He is unable to walk or do things on his own and will not be able to work for several months. He likely will need surgery and/or physical therapy. We are still waiting on the final prognosis from doctors.
Insurance will not be covering the total cost of the expenses for his injuries, so I am asking for your assistance in raising funds to lighten the burden. We would like him to focus on healing so he can function normally again. We appreciate anything and everything. Please share and God Bless.

When I set up the fundraiser, it was still unknown exactly how much cost would incur. We now have a better idea and I have lowered it down. Thanks again for your help.

Ethan has undergone surgery on his foot. They had to re-break the bones and put pins in. He cannot put weight on it for 6 weeks.
He is still in a lot of pain.
Slowly getting treatment as needed for his other injuries. He will have another surgery on his broken knee in the coming weeks.
He was having internal pain and they discovered a level 2 laceration on his spleen. Thankfully it is not life threatening. Still unsure of exactly when he will be allowed to leave the hospital.
In light of learning extra details regarding the accident, I must emphasize how miraculous it is that he survived. ☝

Ethan is home from the hospital and recovering from his foot surgery until he has his second surgery within a couple weeks. He still needs around the clock care as he is unable to walk or move on his own. Still in pain but he’s being cared for by loved ones!
