Ethan’s Fire Academy

To my dearest friends and family: As of May 8, 2024, I have been accepted into the Fire Academy at Allan Hancock College. This 18-week hands-on fire academy is my final step in completing my AA degree and will teach me the fundamentals of safety and efficiency in emergency and fire situations. I have been attending AHC since 2019 and am on track to receive my degree in Fire Technology in December of 2024. I have previously completed the EMT Academy through Allan Hancock which I graduated from in December of 2023. With the knowledge and skill I will obtain from the AHC fire academy, I will be another step closer to achieving my goal of becoming a California firefighter.

As you may already know, college and academies specifically take a lot of time and a sum of money. The AHC fire academy costs around $3,500 to complete, which only includes gear, tuition, and materials. The academy will be held at the Lompoc Emergency Training Complex, which is about a 30-minute daily commute from where I reside. I have been working as much as I can to save up for this, but I am not fully there yet.  If you are willing to help in any way financially, it would be a huge blessing while I work towards furthering my educational career.
