Donations for Annie

Please consider helping our Aunt Ann and Uncle Ray during this trying time. On Monday, July 31st Annie went to the ER and was admitted to the ICU due to poor kidney function and dehydration. After several tests, it revealed that our aunt’s kidneys were not working properly and that she would need dialysis to give her kidneys a break to help filter out the waste that her kidneys were unable to. After a bone marrow biopsy, it was confirmed that Annie has multiple myeloma (bone cancer).
For anyone who has had the great joy of knowing our Aunt Ann, you could affirm her selflessness and altruism. She has been self-effacing in all aspects of her life. Our memories of our aunt are foundational. Our aunt has been in each of our corners in various ways; she has been our biggest cheerleader and a supporter of our dreams, aspirations, and families. We will never be able to repay her for the unconditional love and contributions she has made to each of our lives.
We are kindly asking for donations to help alleviate medical bills and expenses that will incur with the coming months. Ann will continue chemo and dialysis treatments 2-3 times a week. If the cancer severely damaged her kidneys, she will need to continue with dialysis for the remainder of her life. Accommodations will also need to be made to their home not covered by insurance to ensure our aunt’s safety and recovery.
Ray will be taking time off of work to care for Annie as well as help ease some anxiety during her transition from the hospital to home. Once home, our aunt will require someone to ease the situation and explain things to her, as well as take her to and from outpatient chemo and dialysis treatments. Our uncle is willing to sacrifice his time at work to take care of his wife as she recovers from bone cancer. This is another reason we are asking for donations. FMLA only pays a percentage of your base income.
We are forever grateful for everyone’s love and support during this trying time. We thank you all and are accepting any donation possible. - Amanda, Brittany and Jaclyn
