Support Jackie's Fight Against Cancer

Hi, my name is Alexia, and I'm starting this fundraiser on behalf of my amazing mother, Jacqueline Smith. In November of 2023, my mom drove herself to the emergency room to address some health concerns she was having and ended up being admitted to the hospital for gallstones. The doctors ultimately decided to remove her gallbladder and that should have been the end of it. However, a few weeks later she was still experiencing a lot of discomfort and not healing as expected, which led her back to the ER where another blockage in her stomach was revealed, leading to a second surgery. It was during that surgery that a mass was found, and it was determined that she had stage 4 bile duct cancer. This news has been absolutely devastating for our family and completely unexpected. She is deeply loved by so many and is truly the most incredible mom, wife, sister, and friend. I decided to start this fundraiser to take some financial stress off of her and her husband at this time as she is now unable to work and will be needing full-time care once her treatments begin.
