Eugene Minihan Memorial Statue
Spende geschützt
Hello, Saddle Enthusiasts! I am a student at Eastern Kentucky University working on a community based project raising funds to build a memorial statue for a famous Kentucky saddle maker named Eugene Minihan.
Mr. Minihan was a saddle maker in the town of Owingsville, Kentucky from the late 1880's until 1926.
This project has been on going, holding meetings with city officals in Owingsville about the statue construction so we are in the beginning stages. There are two diffent statues that we are considering which are pictured on this campaign. It will cost $10,500 to build a replica of what Eugene's saddle looked like, but we also have a design of the saddle along with a statue of Minihan himself which will cost $38,500 to have built.
Along with the project we are in the works of constructing & selling handmade miniature statues of the saddle that will look like the statue. With your donation of $250 we will include one of these "mini" Minihan saddles as a way to say Thank You for your support. Each of these will handcrafted & take hours to construct.
In the coming days I will be posting updates with a video of the town of Owningsville and Mr. Minihan's old shop which is still standing to this day, along with more information with what we have been doing so far, this way you all can gain a better understanding of how important Eugene Minihan was to the town of Owingsville, KY.
