Kyle and family

Hi, my name is Arlene Harrington and I’m raising money for my nephew’s family.  He was in a horrific motorcycle accident on October 1st.

 

Kyle and his fiancé Autymn have  a daughter named Maddy who just turned 1 in August. She was born 3 months early and it was touch and go for quite awhile. Kyle is also helping to raise Autumn’s daughter, Rylynn. 

 

I’m not asking for money to pay his medical bills.  I would just like Autymn not to have to worry about her and the girls and for my sister to be able to cover funeral expenses. 

 

My sister tried calling me around 3 AM Saturday morning but my phone was on vibrate and I never heard it. I woke up to this text from her:

 

“Kyle was in a motorcycle accident yesterday and they had to medevac him. So far it seems no head injuries but he is sedated and they can't do an assessment , has many other injuries. The highest injury is the fractures of his 4th, 5th, 6th, and 7th vertebrae. He is having an MRI right now so don't know if it is compressing on the neurological part of his spine to see if he will be able to walk again. Broken bones left side of pelvis, both femurs broken, right leg broken minor tear in bladder. I have no information on the accident at this time. Please pray for him!

 

At noon I received this text:

 

Kyle will be going into surgery soon to put on rod in his right tibia and an external fixtator for the open ankle fracture and possibly a bar across his leg. Also found out he has a right hip socket fracture which goes all the way through and a large laceration on his right shoulder which they will clean and hopefully be able to stitch while he is in surgery for his right leg. Please pray all goes well. They are looking at Monday for his next surgery on his vertebrates

 

The latest I got was this:

 

Kyle is out of surgery. Have not been able to see him yet. The surgeon put a rod and a stabilizing brace at the top & bottom of right leg. He cleaned the open 2 fractures on ankle and leg (right side) and put an external Fixtator in those 2 areas for now. He will have to have plastic surgery at some point for this to be able to close. The doctor said he is lucky to be alive.

 

Update:

 

Along with all his leg injuries and spinal fractures, he also has knee lipohemarthrosis, a ball joint hip fracture, 4 fractures in front and back of pelvis (SI joint) which is causing widening of of that area, a small renal infarcts, compression fracture of the T1 and T3, and a right acramion fracture.
