Eunice and Brian

Thank you for taking the time to read this. As you may know by now, my sister-in-law, Eunice, is in the hospital.

At the end of June, Eunice collapsed as a result of plaque build up in the vessels in her legs. This was brought on by years of vascular issues related to kidney failure and various types of dialysis. Luckily, Brian was by her side and was able to bring her to Methodist Hospital. She remained there for care and eventually, physical therapy until Wednesday, July 26.

While home on Sunday, Aug 30, Brian and Rayna noticed a strange “distance” in her responses when talking with her. There was a lack of eye contact and a general abnormalcy to her demeanor. Knowing her medical history, they called 911. They got her to the ER ran some more tests and It turns out she had suffered a stroke and had a few seizures related to the stroke. She was put on a ventilator and sedated to allow her body to recover and heal. The good news is, she has been seizure free for over 48hrs now. The doctors are now slowly weaning her off her sedatives. We are now just waiting for her to wake up so she can be taken off the ventilator.

I am starting this fund to help Brian and Eunice with their mounting medical expenses. Brian has been by her side and has not been able to work. When she wakes up and especially when she begins her recovery at home, she is going to need Brian more than ever to help care for her. We can all help them with our contribution so that Brian feels less pressure with having to go back to work.
