Support for Nick
Anyone who knows Nick knows what a great guy he really is. He started his career in healthcare as a house keeper. For several years, he held that position and even won recognition for his hard work. He then decided to switch roles where he became a nursing assistant. He worked in Neuro ICU for 5 years while going through nursing school. Anyone who’s ever worked in a hospital knows how hard nursing assistants work, and Nick was no exception to this.
But his true calling came when he earned his nursing degree. It was as if he was predestined to be a nurse because he already knew how things should be done. The delivery of care he provides to his patients is truly something to be seen, and his support for his colleagues goes above all expectations.
Watching him grow as a nurse has been nothing less than inspirational. I believe some people are born to be nurses and Nick is absolutely one of those people. The compassion and patience he shows to each patient is unmeasurable. He works so hard each shift to provide his patients with the best care. And he stops at nothing to advocate for their needs.
Now it’s our turn to advocate for Nick. As some of you may know, Nick was hospitalized this past week with cardiac issues. He underwent a serious surgery yesterday and is currently on a ventilator in critical care. We don’t know how long he will be in this condition and are hoping it’s only for a short time. However, he will not be able to work and his medical expenses will be immense.
Nick is part of our healthcare family and he needs us now more than ever. If you can donate anything to his fund, we would greatly appreciate it. Let’s support one of our own during this most difficult time. His family and fiancé Hollie Duncan would be so appreciative.
