Eva Marie Duron Funeral expenses

On October 12th, 2020 we were informed that Montoya, her ex husband, shot and killed my mom, Eva. We do not know the exact details except that he shot her multiple times outside the Queen of Peace Chapel Church parking lot in Albuquerque New Mexico. My mom fought till the end. I’m so proud of her. She didn’t give in to him and now she is happy in heaven and no longer suffering. She was trying to escape Montoya and his abuse for many years but was always afraid for her life. In 2019 Eva made the decision to face her fears and she stood her ground and was able to kick him out of the house. He would stalk and threaten her and she never felt safe. Despite all her pleas from church members and the law enforcement, Montoya was always able to turn things around and make it seem like Eva was the bad one. Our mom is a hero to us who was no longer afraid despite everything and she died for Mary-Therese so Mary wouldn’t have to be with that evil man. All Eva wanted was for the truth to be told. She wanted to be heard and now hopefully people will hear. Eva left behind nine of her kids, Ashley, Cassandra, Evangelina, Vincent, Matthew, Katherine, Paul-Michael, Daniel, and our youngest sister, Mary-Therese. She was also a grandmother of eight, a daughter to Daniel and Marie Duron and a sister to David and Daniel Duron. She will be dearly missed and we will never forget the courage she showed to face that man even if it costed her her life.
