Let's build Eva's Ninja Warrior Park!

Evangeline Brighten Plimmer is a brave, kind-hearted, and faith-filled 11-year-old girl who—despite facing an unimaginably difficult journey—radiates joy and love everywhere she goes.

In March 2024, her family was shocked and heartbroken to discover a DIPG tumor in her brainstem. The average survival timeline for this type of aggressive childhood cancer is less than one year. Despite the pain and grief, Eva and her family continue to stand on a firm foundation, rooted in their faith in Jesus. You can learn more about her story and journey here.

Due to the progressive nature of this type of cancer, Eva was immediately connected with Make-A-Wish. Eva’s wish was to do something for more than just herself—she wanted to build a playground in her hometown for children to enjoy for many years to come. But not just any playground… Eva is a HUGE ninja warrior fan, so her wish was to build a playground unlike any other in her area—one with ninja-like obstacles. Although she proposed this idea to Make-A-Wish, it could not be pursued through the organization due to policy reasons (note: Make-A-Wish did send the family on an incredible, memory-making trip to Florida in June, which was a tremendous blessing).

Eva’s passion for building this ninja warrior park has not dwindled. As a result, we are rallying hearts and hands together to make her dream a reality. We are currently pursuing location options in the broader Boise area, where Eva lives in Idaho. Several contractors involved are offering generous discounts on labor and materials. This leaves us with the need to raise $337,000 to cover the remaining costs.

Our biggest hope is to raise these funds quickly enough to install the playground before cold weather arrives. Eva has responded well to treatment so far, but the reality is that her mobility could be impacted in the near future. We want nothing more than to see her race through the obstacles on her ninja warrior park with strength and a smile this fall.

That means we need to raise $337,000 by the end of September 2024.

If 3,000 people donate $115, Eva’s dream becomes a reality. Or, if 337 people donate $1,000, we’re there! (And that’s not counting the many other business sponsorships we are pursuing.)

Please help this kind-hearted, brave girl’s wish come true. Donate if you can, and please share this message as broadly as possible. Thank you for rallying behind Eva and her ninja playground dream!

Note: A nonprofit organization has been founded to honor Eva’s strength, joy, and resilience: Brighten Day Park, Inc. We have applied for 501(c)(3) tax-exempt status with the IRS, but are still awaiting formal determination. Once our application is approved, donations will be tax-deductible retroactive to our incorporation date of August 27, 2024. In the meantime, your generosity and support will go directly toward this important initiative.

If you'd like to make a larger business or personal donation via check to avoid transaction processing fees, please reach out using the "Contact" button below. Business sponsorships of $500 or more will be formally recognized on this page and on our Facebook page. Thank you!
