Ahmed completed his M.D. summer 2023, and has worked in many different specialties since then - OB/GYN, pediatrics, emergency, surgery, internal medicine and ICU most recently, sometimes as a volunteer.

His goal is to specialize in surgery at a hospital in the Dortmund area of Germany. He has reached level A2 in German language.

Ahmed's statement:

I started studying medicine on September 1, 2017 after finishing high school at Arafat School for the Gifted in Gaza.

For the first 3 years, I studied the theoretical stage, called the basic stage, in the building of the Faculty of Medicine of the Islamic University of Gaza. This was from July 1, 2017 to July 1, 2020.

After that, I studied the clinical phase (operative period) for 3 years, and that was in different hospitals, the most important of which were Al-Shifa Medical Complex, Nasser Medical Complex, and European Hospital. This was from July 1, 2020 to June 24, 2023 (the date I graduated from university) .

After my graduation, the practical training period began on August 1, 2023 for two months at Kamal Adwan Hospital in the specialty of pediatrics, and ended on October 1, 2023.

After that, I worked in the specialty of surgery in the Indonesian Hospital for a week before the start of the war, and during the war I completed my work for about a month and a half before my displacement to the south of Gaza on November 25, 2023. When I displaced to the south, I worked as a volunteer as an emergency doctor for two months, from December 1, 2023 to February 1, 2024.

After that, I worked at the Emirates Hospital for Obstetrics and Gynecology for two months from March 1, 2024 to May 1, 2024, knowing that I did not leave my job as a volunteer at the European Hospital.

Since May 1, 2024 until now, I have been working in the Internal Medicine Department at the European Hospital.

The proposed budget:

$5,000 to get me out of Gaza

$2,000 to allow me to live in Cairo for a month or two.

$1,000 for German language course in Cairo.
