My brother, Marwan, aged 40, is a lawyer with a Master's degree in Law. He is married to my sister-in-law, Feroz, and they have three children: Yassin, 13 years old, in the second year of middle school, Amina, 9 years old, in the fourth grade, and Mohammed, 3 years old. We used to live in Jabalia in the north of the Gaza Strip.

Since the outbreak of the conflict, our lives have turned into a nightmare. Like all Palestinians in Gaza, when the war broke out, my children were preparing to go to school. With the intensification of the bombing and its proximity, we were forced to leave our home under continuous bombardment, and seek refuge in a shelter with hundreds of other families.

Since fleeing to Rafah, the situation has become more dangerous, catastrophic, and inhumane. Here's a glimpse of my brother Marwan's words:

Marwan tells the story since the beginning of the war:

'I write to you with all the feelings of despair, frustration, and helplessness that accompany me. Since October 2023, our lives have turned into a nightmare, like every Palestinian in Gaza. We faced the constant threat of bombardment, barely escaping with our lives each time. My children, traumatized and terrified, have had their education disrupted, and there are no job opportunities to provide for their basic needs.



All I want and aim for with this campaign is to protect my family from death and give them a chance to live. I am trying to find a way to get them out of Gaza to Egypt and start anew in a safer place, free from war, fear, and destruction. We deserve to live a normal life, and I wish I could cover the costs myself, but it's beyond my means.

Every day is a new challenge, worse than the one before. After more than five months of displacement and displacement, my family is living in difficult conditions away from our home, which was damaged by the bombing. There is no safety anywhere in Gaza, north or south.

My children suffer from nightmares and fear every day due to the terrifying bombing, and they long to return to their normal lives, their home, and their belongings

Despite experiencing previous escalations, we have never experienced such a violent and terrifying onslaught before. The terror is not from the bombing and death but from my inability to give my children safety and ensure that all this will end soon. I write these details about the hell we are living in, like thousands of families in Gaza, and I ask for your help in getting us to safety because we simply deserve to live a normal life.

Therefore, we have decided to start fundraising to help them start a new and safe life. We will use this amount to help them leave Gaza and provide a dignified life for them, after months of suffering in these inhumane conditions.
