Families like Adam's are finding it hard to stay alive because there isn't enough food, and the power goes out for months at a time. Adam and his family go through really tough times every day.

One day during the war, while Adam was playing with other children, Israel suddenly bombed the house of our neighbors next door. Adam cried a lot from the sound of the bombing. All the windows of the house were shattered, smoke filled every corner, and it felt like an earthquake had happened. Every explosion nearby fills little Adam, our own Little Batman, with fear and longing for safety. But trapped in Gaza, he can only dream of flying away to a place where he can feel secure.
