Support Eva's Study Abroad Adventure in Spain!

For the past 8 years I have been studying Spanish in school and I have been passionate about studying abroad for as long as I can remember. When I was in 3rd grade, my brother Maize was traveling in Europe, Africa and the Middle East. We met him in Seville, Spain for my Spring Break which was over Easter, called Holy Week in Andalusia, Spain where penance processions are performed 24 hours a day in all towns and cities. We also experienced Flamenco dance as Seville is the home of this passionate human expression.

This amazing exploration planted a seed and I am finally now old enough and moving forward with my personal dream of travel adventure. This coming April, I am planning on doing a trimester exchange trip to Spain with the organization “Seville Abroad”! I will fly from New York City to Spain with a group of American teens and Spanish chaperones that I will meet with daily for a couple hours in the evening in Seville and as well as take several trips with while I'm there. I will live with a host family and attend school with my host siblings.

This trip is the best real-world experience I could ask for. It is a way for me to gain a new perspective, push myself to try something new, become fluent in Spanish, take some Flamenco dance lessons from the source and expand my worldview. On this trip, I expect to grow, be challenged and learn so much about myself but I can't do it alone!!! I am writing this letter to fundraise for this experience.
